Share and export your workdocs

Your docs don't have to only exist within your monday.com account. You can print, present, share, broadcast, and export your workdocs. Keep reading to learn more!

Create a public link

You can share a secure, read-only version of your workdocs to people external to your monday.com account via a shareable link.

Create a public link from any workdoc by clicking the "Share" button at the top of your screen.

Note: The option to publicly share a workdoc is not available on Trial accounts.

At the bottom of the pop-up link, toggle the "Get public link" button to "On". This will generate a unique link to a read-only version of your workdoc. You can copy this link and send it to anyone you want!

Shareable

Note: Once this link is generated, it can be accessed and shared by others. Read our article on workdocs permissions to understand more about sharing permission.

The blue banner at the top of your screen indicates when a workdoc on your account is visible on the web. You can access the link by clicking "Preview".

Tip: You can export your shared workdoc to PDF by clicking the export icon at the top right-hand corner.

Once you generate a public link, it can be shared with anyone, whether they are members of your monday.com account or not. The workdoc link is read-only, meaning that no changes can be made from the link and content is not interactive like a workdoc within your account.

What's the difference between a workdoc and a public link to a workdoc?

To protect account privacy and security, only workdoc owners and account admins can create shareable links. In Enterprise accounts, these settings can be customized further. Read this article for more information on workdoc permissions.

Note: Public links cannot be generated from workdocs that were created through the File Column

For easy sharing within your account, you can copy the link to your workdoc to share with team members who have permissions to access the doc. Simply click on the "Link" icon next to the "Share" button, and the link will be copied to your clipboard. Once copied, you can paste the link wherever you want in order to share it!

When you select to export as PDF, a preview of your document as a PDF file will be generated before you complete the export. In this window, you can toggle between portrait and landscape mode and have the option to select only some of the pages to export. Click "Export" to complete this action and save the PDF to your computer downloads.

Tip: You can add page breaks to your workdoc to ensure that your content is divided into specific pages in your PDF!

Presentation and full-screen mode

Take your presentations to the next level by using our presentation mode! This mode introduces a new, sleek look by utilizing a view-only mode with a wider layout. Access it by clicking on the dedicated icon in the top right corner of your workdoc, which reads "Present mode" when you hover over it. You can switch between background themes during your presentation and view it in light, dark, or night mode.

While full-screen mode has the same wide layout, you can edit, customize, and work on your doc as you would in normal view mode. Full-screen mode is a great option if you want to hide other distractions and focus on creating. Access it by clicking on the three-dot menu in the upper right-hand corner of your doc and clicking on “Full screen”.
