Automations help you to reduce manual work, while subitems provide an additional layer of structure to your board. You can create automations for subitems on your board to simplify your workflow and save time.

Use subitems in automations

To create an automation, click on the Automate button on the top of your screen:

You can also manually build the automation yourself if you prefer.

Create subitems with automations

You can also create multiple subitems as a result of automation.

In the case of a board where you require subitems to be created on an item once the status changes, you can create the following automation:

"When status changes to something, then create a subitem."
